The Science Behind the Smile
I'm Jamie Saphow — a flavor scientist who spent over a decade at Colgate-Palmolive developing flavors for global oral care brands, then built ADM's entire oral care flavor business from the ground up, including a dedicated formulation lab.
I've created flavors that passed consumer testing in Australia, reformulated Colgate's global mouthwash line for alcohol-free stability, managed regulatory compliance across four continents, and led cost optimizations that saved over a million dollars a year.
Now I consult independently, helping startups, private label companies, and established brands navigate the complex intersection of flavor science, formulation chemistry, and consumer experience in oral care.
